Photography is my creative and emotional outlet. I love it. Some people meditate or paint, I take photos! 

I first picked up a camera as a child and took photos of our back garden from as many different angles as I could find. The attraction to nature and landscape photography didn’t last though, my preferred genre of photography is anything with people in, especially if it is a print.

I have been lucky enough to live and work overseas for many years and photography gave me a creative way of documenting what I was seeing, feeling and experiencing. 

I moved back to the UK in 2016 and joined SPC within weeks of moving to Sidmouth. I had never been a member of a camera club before, so I had no idea what to expect. It is fantastic to be around like minded people. I love the friendliness of the club and the passion for photography within it. I have learnt so much about photography of all genres, been inspired by my fellow photographers and consequently me photography has developed in a way that I never would have expected.
